Studies have shown that meditating in a group can complement your individual meditation practice or help you start meditating. We will offer a theme in mindfulness and compassion each week with a short talk followed by a one-hour guided meditation. Establish a regular meditation practice, connect with like-minded people, and be part of an authentic community with shared values. Everyone is welcome! Come join us every week or "drop in" when you can attend. Practicing self-compassion motivates us to make positive changes in our lives because we care about ourselves and the suffering we are experiencing in our lives and wanted to make progress and improvements. Gain practical skills to help bring self-compassion into your daily life. Develop tools to help handle difficult emotions with greater ease, and to motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism. The six-week class provides opportunities for more in-depth study and practice. The Power of Self-Compassion (One hour to 90 min)

Expectations The program requires effort and consistency. Mindfulness and meditation can only be of lasting value if you have the discipline to practice regularly, as well as the motivation to try and be mindful throughout your day. Daily practice is expected. Meditation is an important part of mindfulness, whether you initially enjoy it or not, as it awakens you to your current situation. When you practice with an alert and open mind for just a little bit of time, you will begin to recognize the benefits that naturally occur and become accustomed to the practice.

One-on-one coaching for people interested in personalized guidance and support with beginning or maintaining a mindfulness and meditation practice and cultivating greater well-being and happiness. I base my coaching on the person-centered and strengths approach based on the belief that individuals have within themselves vast resources for self-understanding and for altering their self-concepts, basic attitudes, and self-directed behavior. I coach individuals with a gentle and kind approach with compassion, empathy, acceptance, understanding, and an open heart. I ask pertinent questions, to assist you, the client, in moving forward to create the discipline and vision for your life. I use reflective inquiry to explore your next steps and clarify your goals.
