Mindfulness is the moment-by-moment activity of observing one's physical, mental and emotional experiences. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being. While many of us enjoy meditating alone, meditating with others can enhance our spiritual growth significantly.
These sessions are open to anyone interested in learning how to 'live more presently' in life. These weekly "drop-in" sessions are free and led by UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center Trained Facilitator Chris George. Each week will focus on a discussion of a topic in mindfulness practice followed by a 20 minute guided meditation. No previous experience is necessary!
